My mother was a remarkable woman. She was strong, independent, and always put others before herself. But in her later years, she began to experience the challenges of aging. One of the most important things my mother taught me was to live in the moment. As her memory began to fade, she became more and more focused on the present. She would often reminisce about the past, but she would always end her stories with a smile and a reminder to live in the present moment.
